A room should hold

I measured three times and still thought it would swallow the room. It doesn't. It's the only chair my father will sit in now, which is its own kind of review.

Delivery ran two days late and somebody actually rang to tell me why. That never happens. The pendant throws a warmer light than the photographs suggest — better, but be ready for it.

We eat at it, work at it, and our son has already put a dent in one corner. I was upset for about an hour. Now it is the part of the table I like most.

I bought the ottoman to fill an awkward gap and ended up rearranging the entire room around it. Not the plan. The rug came two months later and that was the right order to do it in.

Three years in. The oak has gone darker where the light hits it and I keep meaning to tell people that, because nobody warns you furniture is supposed to do that.
